Synopsis
House music is widely recognized, but the culture and history behind it are often overlooked. Wave Rider follows legendary New York dancer Daniel “Future” Kelley III as he reflects on a lifetime within house dance culture. Through movement, teaching, and exchange with Edmonton dancer Sekou Sonko-Boisclair, Future reveals house as a conversation: a shared language shaped by rhythm, response, memory, and individual expression.
