With a background in both dance and design, filmmaker Marlene Millar has been creating dance films, documentaries, and experimental productions since 1991. With a BFA in Film, she pursued advanced studies in directing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was awarded a Pew Dance Media Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her distinguished career was celebrated in her first solo exhibition, a retrospective of three decades of artistic practice presented at Threshold Artspace in the United Kingdom in 2019.
